"Pump and Dump" - When investors are deliberately deceived: We represent you in cases of investment fraud and crypto fraud

What is a "pump and dump" scam?

The so-called "pump and dump" model is a particularly perfidious form of investment fraud. Here, shares - often of smaller, less traded companies - are artificially inflated ("pump") and then sold by the perpetrators at a high profit ("dump"). The victims are then left with worthless or heavily overpriced shares. We are currently dealing with the following shares: HIT, Ostin Technology (ISIN: KYG679271141), Concorde International Group Limited (ISIN: VGG2452S1002, Ming Shing Group (ISIN: KYG614401068), PTHL (Pheton Holdings Ltd),

Typical procedure:

Spreading false or misleading information - e.g. about supposedly innovative business models, alleged takeovers or sensational market opportunities. Victims are lured into whats app or Telegram groups and lulled into a false sense of security by supposed co-investors (usually also the fraudsters). They first receive information about shares and are then specifically encouraged to make larger investments. Sometimes calls are made by the personal advisor.

Building artificial demand - often through aggressive marketing, email spam, forum posts or social media.

Sale by the perpetrators at the highest price - as soon as the price has risen due to the artificial interest.

Price collapse - after the perpetrators have sold, the price falls rapidly and private investors suffer massive losses.
